The treatment I received From Milton Keynes University hospital was excellent and conducted in a professional and caring manner. All aspects of my treatment were balanced and well planned under the supervision of Mrs G Patel FRCS Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon. All efforts were made to ensure I understood each stage of my treatment, which for me was very reassuring and gave me a great sense of confidence. With many thanks to all the breast care nurses, consultants and staff in the breast care clinic for their dedication and hard work. Well done team! One suggestion that I would like to make is that if each patient could be seen by the same consultant when they come for their appointment it would build more confidence within the patient. It's about making the patient feel more at ease seeing the same person each time and being able to express their feelings and being able to speak more freely about their treatment or any concerns they may have. once again many thanks Margaret Pascoe.

In hospital wards 6 & 6a before Christmas. The front line staff were run off their feet. Senior ward staff barely had a smile for anyone & the food was dreadful for sick people. No eggs - no bananas, no pears, wedge sandwiches straight from the factory, putting in mayonnaise for those with delicate stomachs. Ridiculous. Solid porridge in a tablespoon of hot water - expecting the water to penetrate the tub. So much thrown away. Dreadful, dreadful waste. I was desperate for sleep, 8 people in a 6 bed ward. No room for med. trolleys. Men shouting at night, one old lady singing all night. Bedlam on the wards before consultants do their rounds. No wonder the nhs is bleeding to death. Why would anyone stay?

I was under the care of Dr Mokawem, Orthopaedic Surgeon. He was very thorough on explaining what would happen during my operation. I was made aware of all the treatment and it was explained to me in a way that I could understand. I was treated with Respect and Professionalism. The staff treated me with dignity and nothing was too much trouble. The ward was kept clean, in fact, cleanliness was paramount. I really can’t say enough about the Hospital and the Staff. I would certainly recommend the Hospital to friends and family. I have had my follow up with Dr Mokawem and I’m pleased to say, my operation was a success, and I have been discharged.

Review of Ward 8 written by a patient

The staff on this ward are truly hard working and caring, I have been well looked after by my nurses who are so kind, one or two small point though, the food is ok, varied but for diabetics terrible the orange juice and low fat yogurt has to much sugar or sweetners in them, biscuits sugar, cake sugar, no fruit other than bananas , same flavour yogurt, I may order a roll with soup but wether I get it???? I have ordered egg sandwich only to recieve egg ang tomato I allergic to tomato, if I order a large meal it’s the same as a small one. Being a transplantee I require lots of water not just three time a day, if I require my bed changed it should be done not told my sheets are clean. Overall I am very pleased with th care I have recieved and would recommend this hospital to all

Review of Ward 18 written by a patient

I was admitted following a fall where I fractured my cheek and was in for 2 weeks. The care I received was excellent. The nursing staff are rushed off their feet but were always cheerful and very friendly. Time was taken to explain my treatment. Unfortantly I picked up the flu which prolonged my stay. A big thank you to everyone that looked after me during my stay.

Staff compassionate and helpful to my loved one and provided great quality of care. Some more information early on as to the expected process and timeframe for it would have made it without fault but still good.
